Welcome to the Last Year of Baseball Forever Blog

This will be the last year of baseball that is ever played. How do I know? Because baseball is cool again. They managed to do it; after twenty years, they managed to get cool again. And I think we should all be clear that most of it was happenstance; it took years to shorten games, years to think beyond the regional level, and years to catch up with a new tv model. It all just kind of happened. And now they’re in a labor dispute. According to Tim Kurkjian, the two sides are as far apart as they could possibly be. What does this mean? It means that this is the last year of baseball forever. And we should try and enjoy it. And be pissed off, too, but try to enjoy it.
